VHI Classic Taps Classic 60 Minutes Interviews

Vintage interviews with music icons like Elton John and Ray Charles from CBS News’ 60 Minutes series will air next month on VH1 Classic as part of a distribution deal between the network and CBS News.

The 30-minute, Classic 60 Minutes weekly series will feature past interviews from the 40-year old series with such stars Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Sting and The Eagles, including never-before-seen footage and conversations, according to the network. CBS News correspondent Lara Logan will host the series, which will provide viewers with an in-depth details and insights about the artists as well as an update from Logan on recent news surrounding the performers.

VH1 Classic joins ESPN Classic, which currently airs sports-related interviews from the 60 Minutes archives.
