Viacom Inc. and Yahoo! Inc. (www.yahoo.com) announced a multiyear search-marketing and Web-search-distribution agreement Tuesday.
Under terms of the deal, Yahoo! will provide multiple search-marketing and Web-search services to Viacom's online properties, including BET.com (www.bet.com), CBSNews.com (www.cbsnews.com), CMT.com (www.cmt.com), MTV.com (www.mtv.com), NickJr.com (www.nickjr.com), SHO.com (www.sho.com) and VH1.com (www.vh1.com).
“Joining forces with Yahoo!, one of the leaders in search marketing, enables us to deliver an even richer, more relevant online experience to our audience," Viacom Digital Media Group senior vice president Peter Glusker said in a prepared statement.
“Because our sites appeal to audiences across various demographics and provide a wide range of features and services, it's important to work with a provider with a breadth of offerings,” he added. “Yahoo! offers the flexibility, support and customized solutions we need for our sites.”
