Viacom, Kaiser Take Next Step

Viacom Inc. and The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation said Tuesday, “The Know Is Spreading.”

The media giant and the nonprofit private operating foundation dedicated to providing information and analysis on health issues to policymakers, the media and the general public rolled out the latest wave of their “KNOW HIV/AIDS” campaign, which is aimed at normalizing testing for HIV and AIDS as part of routine health care.

Viacom said that since KNOW HIV/AIDS launched in January 2003, it has committed $600 million in media value, including public-service announcements and story lines in programming on its broadcast and cable networks.
