Independent cable TV ad management company Viamedia said it has expanded its advertising sales representation with Windstream into four new markets -- Houston; Charlotte, N.C.; Lexington, Ky.; and Lincoln, Neb. Viamedia already represents Windstream in the Greensboro, N.C., and Johnstown-Altoona, Pa., DMAs.
“Expanding our partnership reinforces the relationship and commitment our two organizations have and that it will continue to flourish for years to come,” said Viamedia CEO Mark Lieberman in a statement. “We know that Windstream is committed to providing top-notch services, and we are confident that with Viamedia’s lineup of cutting-edge advertising solutions, it will enable increased capabilities in Windstream’s service areas.”
Windstream provides high-speed broadband, phone service and digital TV packages to residential and business customers and serves about 1.4 million households nationwide.
“Viamedia is a clear leader and the right choice to manage our television ad sales in these markets,” said Windstream director, IPTV and satellite product management and development Terry Roush in a statement. “We’re confident that the local businesses that rely on us for advertising will continue to benefit from the range of innovation Viamedia has to offer.”
With the deal, Viamedia now manages sales, operational and technical back room functions for cable companies across 75 designated market areas (DMAs) in 35 states.
