Vicom Inc. announced Friday that it has purchased the rights to 48,000
multiple-dwelling-unit right-of-access units from Suncoast Automation Inc.
The units are located in 62 premium time-share-resort properties in nine
states.
Vicom also purchased approximately 3,500 current subscribing customers, as
well as the equipment used to provide service to them.
The transaction is a joint asset purchase with Broadband Holdings LLC, a
South Dakota company affiliated with video-electronics wholesaler Warren Supply
Co.
The right of access will provide the joint venture with an exclusive right to
offer voice, video and Internet services to the 48,000 subscribers as the
services are rolled out.
