Eureka, Sci Fi's hit original dramedy series, returned to impressive ratings in its season-three premiere, garnering more than 3.3 million total viewers.
Sci Fi officials said Eureka checked in with a 2.4 household rating and drew more than 1.6 million adults between 18-49 and 1.77 million adults 25-54.
The series, starring Colin Ferguson, Salli Richardson-Whitfield and Joe Morton, tracks a small town of geniuses and the havoc that their top-secret work often wreaks. This week’s upcoming episode takes “a shocking turn with the demise of one of the show’s leading characters,” network officials said.
The July 29 premiere episode now ranks as the highest-rated and most-watched episode of any Sci Fi original series since the Eureka series premiere on July 18, 2006. In total viewers, it ranks as the fourth most-watched episode of any Sci Fi original series ever.
