Viewers Head For BET’s ‘Baldwin Hills’

Baldwin Hills, the hit BET reality series that follows the everyday lives of African-American teens in the upscale Los Angeles suburb, garnered a 1.2 rating and more than 1.5 million viewers in its second-season premiere Tuesday night.

Those ratings and viewership figures were up from the “sneak peek” episode BET aired June 25 immediately following the BET Awards ’08 special. That teaser episode drew a 1.3 rating and nearly 1.4 million viewers.

Baldwin Hills is produced by Michael McNamara, Sheri Maroufkhani and Bill Rademaekers of MCFilmworks, in conjunction with BET Networks. Robyn Lattaker-Johnson, senior vice president for development and original programming, is the BET executive in charge of the show, with Kevin Morrison serving as senior director of development.

BET is available in more than 87 million households in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean.
