When it came to finding out about the California recall election, more cable viewers turned to Fox News Channel Tuesday night.
On the night when Arnold Schwarzenegger terminated Gray Davis and the rest of the Golden State gubernatorial hopefuls, Fox News averaged a 1.8 between 8 p.m.-11 p.m. (EST), with just over 2 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research data.
Cable News Network pulled a 1.0 rating and 1.06 million viewers, while MSNBC garnered a 0.5 and 489,000 watchers.
In the hour after the polls closed -- from 11 p.m.-midnight EST, 8 p.m.-9 p.m. (PST) -- Fox News scored a 1.7 and 1.85 million viewers, versus a 1.3 and 1.28 million for CNN. MSNBC had a 0.6 and 563,000 viewers.
