Online video specialist Vimeo said it has been tapped to power the relaunch of FitFusion, a subscription VOD service from health and wellness expert Jillian Michaels.
Vimeo said the service runs on its VHX system and supports iOS and Android mobile devices and TV-connected platforms that include Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Google’s Chromecast streaming adapter.
Vimeo acquired VHX, a company that makes a white-label over-the-top video platform, in 2015, and marked a deal that pushed Vimeo more deeply into the SVOD arena
Under the relaunch, FitFusion is migrating more than 350 titles (and abuot 300 hours of content) via Vimeo’s OTT platform. The service sells for $9.99 per month.
According to the FitFusion site, additions/enhancements include a new look, playlist feature, a way to download titles and watch them offline, a single-sign on across the FitFusion Web site and individual pps.
“We are constantly working to refine our consumer experience,” Giancarlo Chersich, CEO and co-founder of FitFusion, said in a statement. “Partnering with Vimeo's platform will allow FitFusion to continue focusing on expanding the content offering while ensuring a stable multi-platform experience for our consumers.”
“We are excited to bring the all-new FitFusion experience to audiences and fitness lovers around the world,” added Jamie Wilkinson, GM of Vimeo’s OTT services group. “FitFusion offers its subscribers unlimited access to award-winning workouts, and wellness videos, now through our full-suite of web, TV and mobile apps.”
