Cox Communications Inc. subscribers in the Fredericksburg, Va., area are being offered credits for service outages as a result of Hurricane Isabel, local newspaper The Free Lance-Star
Cox said its offer, on a case-by-base basis, might even apply to subscribers who were only without cable as a result of being without power.
The area’s other major cable operator, Adelphia Communications Corp., had announced earlier that it would offer credit to customers who kept their power during the storm but lost cable service.
Cox serves about 18,000 customers in the city of Fredericksburg and parts of Stafford and Spotsylvania counties. Adelphia primarily serves North Stafford and most of Spotsylvania.
