Look for Vivendi Universal to dump its struggling Canal Plus U.S.
Technologies and other Canal Plus holdings outside of France.
The company said it plans to restructure Canal Plus, moving its stakes in
Canal Plus Regie, CanalSatellite, Multithematiques, Pathé Sport and other assets
to Canal Plus S.A., as well as its holdings in Studio Canal and Sogecable
S.A.
But its remaining assets, 'especially those held outside of France, will be
retained by the existing Canal Plus Group with a view to disposing all or some
of them,' Vivendi said in a prepared statement.
