Vogelaar Joins Roku’s Ranks

TV Industry Vet To Spearhead Marketing Deals With Content & OEM Partners

Jody Vogelaar, late of 21st Century Fox/News Corp., will join Roku on April 29 as vice president of global partner marketing, where he will oversee the over-the-topper’s marketing relationships with both content and OEM partners.

Prior to joining Roku, Vogelaar was with 21st Century Fox/News Corp marketer, leading pay-television and digital acquisition marketing assignments in the U.S., China, and U.K. over the last decade.

As a vice president of distribution marketing at Fox Networks, he oversaw more than 100 annual partner marketing campaigns with MVPDs, connected device platforms, and electronic sell-through distribution partners for Fox, FX Networks, and the National Geographic Channels.

Before Fox, Vogelaar led marketing and branding for the launch of digital paid content at The Times & Sunday Times in the U.K., and, before that, was with ABC, Disney Interactive Media, and CBS's pay-television division.

Roku has shipped about 8 million devices in the U.S., but has not yet released international sales figures.
