Comcast Spotlight, Comcast Corp.’s ad-sales arm, will run its “Be a Holiday Helper” pro-social promotional campaign through Dec. 31.
The unit said the campaign offers advertisers the opportunity to be affiliated with an array of nonprofit organizations including UNICEF, United Way of America, The Salvation Army, Toys for Tots and the American Red Cross.
Comcast Spotlight created a Web site (www.BeAHolidayHelper.com) to provide links to partner charitable organizations, and visitors can enter their ZIP codes and be connected with organizations and resources that will help them give to their communities.
“This is an excellent opportunity to leverage the value of a promotion and increase revenue or break new business,” Comcast Spotlight vice president of national ad sales John Tierney said in a prepared statement. “To date, we’veclosed nearly $1 million in incremental revenue.”
