Vonage in Hiring Mode in N.J.

Vonage Holdings Corp. said Friday that it plans to hire more than 600 people to fill a variety of positions within the next six months.

The Edison, N.J.-based provider of voice-over-Internet-protocol services said new hires will be used to fill positions in all areas, including but not limited to customer care, product development, call processing, network engineering, sales and operations.

“Vonage is continuing to meet the challenges of growing its work force to constantly improve the quality of our service," chairman and CEO Jeffrey A. Citron said in a prepared statement. “Further, Vonage is bringing telecom growth back to the state of New Jersey after a long absence.”
