VoX Brings VoIP to Vermont

VoX Communications will provide voice-over-Internet-protocol services to Stowe Cable under terms of a deal announced Tuesday.

The eLEC Communications Corp. subsidiary will provide private-label VoIP to the operator based in Stowe, Vt.

“Stowe will be able to approach their broadband users and offer a feature-rich and low-cost telephone-service product that will save their customers money over traditional landline carriers,” VoX president Mark Richards said in a prepared statement.

“We will also provide Stowe with a private-labeled customer Web site so that their VoIP customers can go online to see their usage, pay their bills, order additional services and interact with customer-service teams,” he added.
