WAM! Heads for Higher Ground

WAM! America's Kidz Network has acquired 22 episodes of teen drama series
Higher Ground from Lions Gate Television.

The one-hour episodes will premiere Saturdays starting in September as part
of the channel's popular "Date @ 8" franchise. Episodes will encore throughout
the week, networks officials said.

Starring Hayden Christensen (Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the
Clones
, Life as a House), Higher Ground is set at Mt. Horizon,
a wilderness school in the Pacific Northwest.

The show follows a group of troubled teens as they pull their lives together
in an outward-bound setting. The school's progressive, yet supportive, staff
helps the students to sort our their emotions as they overcome drug use,
rebellion and family trauma.

"Higher Ground fits WAM!'s contemporary series strategy with its focus
on teen issues that our viewers can relate to," WAM! programming vice president
Midge Pierce said in a prepared statement.

"The dynamic series boosts a talented cast and intense story lines that speak
directly to our teen viewers," she added.
