Warner Home Video Inks Lifetime Pact

Warner Home Video will be the exclusive distributor in the United States for all Lifetime Entertainment Services-branded television properties under a deal announced Monday.

The agreement also marks the first-ever home-distribution pact for Lifetime Original Movies.

“It is an honor to be associated with Lifetime and its programming,” WHV vice president of nontheatrical franchise marketing Christine Martinez said in a prepared statement.

“There’s a reason why this network has been a resounding success for two decades, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to distribute the compelling Lifetime programming to its incredibly loyal audience through DVD and home video,” she added.

“We look forward to a productive partnership with Warner Home Video, a class by themselves in the industry, whose strong distribution, marketing and executive team will make the launch of Lifetime Original Movies on DVDs a great success,” Lifetime Entertainment Services senior VP and online general manager Todd Unger added.

The companies said home-video release dates for Lifetime Original Movies such as Emmy Award-nominated movie Homeless to Harvard and Obsessed will be announced on an ongoing basis.
