'We Need To Talk' Special Bows on CBS

We Need To Talk is making the jump to broadcast on Saturday.

The year-end special edition of CBS Sports’ critically-acclaimed first-ever nationally televised all-female sports show will air on CBS on Dec. 27 at 1 p.m. on CBS Television Network. The year-end special, which marks the broadcast debut of the show that has been airing on cable service CBS Sports Network,  features panelists Dana Jacobson, Tracy Wolfson, Amy Trask, Swin Cash and Laila Ali.

Also featured on Saturday’s show, which leads into the network's coverage of the Sun Bowl between Arizona State and Duke at 2 p.m.,  is The NFL Today's  Bill Cowher, who wil previews the NFL playoffs, including the potential of another Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady matchup. Cash also goes behind-the-scenes with the “new” Golden State Warriors, and interviews head coach Steve Kerr.

Bowing in September, We Need To Talk made television history as the first all distaff sports telecast. The show's roster comprises journalists and CBS on-air talent  including Lesley Visser, Allie LaForce, Jacobson, Wolfson and Trask, combined with some of the most prominent women in the sports world, Andrea Kremer, Lisa Leslie, Dara Torres, Summer Sanders, Katrina Adams, Cash and Ali, among them.

Behind t the camera, We Need To Talk is led by Emmy Award-winning coordinating producers Emilie Deutsch and Suzanne Smith, the only woman currently producing or directing NFL games. Amy Salmanson and Julie Keryc produce with Smith directing.
