We TV and Wedding Central have rechristened and expanded the oversight of its digital media unit to include new business development.
To further these goals, the networks' digital media & business development, also has elevated two of its executives, Jennifer Robertson and Andrea Bell Macey.
The group's main responsibility is to extend the reach of the We TV and Wedding Central brands via non-linear, advanced media platforms, including online, video on demand, mobile and interactive applications, and to identify key business opportunities designed to create additional revenue streams for the networks. As part of that gambit, Robertson has been promoted to senior vice president from vice president, while Macey has been promoted to vice president from director.
As the senior vice president of digital media & business development, Robertson is charged with developing a comprehensive strategic vision to extend the network brands via advanced media platforms. She leads a team that oversees content creation and technical direction for the networks' expanding group of digital properties that now includes WEtv.com, WedCentral.com and the recently launched GuySpeak.com.
Macey, as the group's vice president, works closely with Robertson by overseeing the day-to-day implementation of the networks' advanced platform strategies. She explores new business opportunities, such as licensing, merchandising, partnerships and strategic acquisitions, to extend the reach of the We TV and Wedding Central brands, while crafting digital promotions utilizing original programming and talent to create value-added opportunities for distribution and advertising partners
