We TV, Wedding Central Hire John Miller As SVP Original Productions, Development

John Miller has been named senior vice president, original productions and development for WE tv and Wedding Central.

In this role, Miller will develop original programming and serve as executive in charge of production on all network-produced programming. Based in New York, Miller will report to Kim Martin, president and general manager, WE tv and Wedding Central

Most recently, Miller was executive vice president of television at The Weinstein Co., where he oversaw all domestic TV production and development.and served as the executive in charge of production for notable series such as Project Runway,Models of the Runway, and for the HBO/BBC series, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. Previously, he held positions at Touchstone Television, Telepictures Productions and MTV. .
"John is a dynamic television executive who has a strong track record of overseeing and developing shows that resonate with audiences like Project Runway, Jackass and The Real World," said Martin in a statement. "He joins We TV at an exciting time on the heels of the network's highest-rated quarter ever, and the launch of Wedding Central. I am confident that John will bring new vitality and ideas to both networks that will excite viewers and allow our sales teams to continue presenting a strong product in the marketplace."
Additionally, We TV and Wedding Central bolstered their programming departments by elevating Elizabeth Doree and Terence Coffey.
In her new role, Dorée's responsibilities expand to include the creation and implementation of strategic plans for both networks' scheduling, acquisitions and on-air promotion departments. Dorée will report to Martin.
In his new position, Coffey is charged with developing and executing on-air promotion scheduling strategy and break architecture. He reports to Dorée.
Dorée joined We in 2001 as vice president of program planning where she developed and implemented short and long-term programming strategies, stunts and events to attract viewers, affiliates and advertisers. In 2006, she was named vice president of programming acquisitions and promotional strategy, securing such off-network series The Golden Girls, Ghost Whisperer, and Charmed.
Coffey joined We in 2003 as supervisor, programming where he was responsible for creating program logs, maintaining promo allocations, and was a member of the team that strategized the network's daily promotional priorities. Since then, he was upped to director, promotional strategy where he was responsible for developing a new gross rating point promotional strategy, which maximized inventory and promotional campaigns, and also played an integral part in launching WE's HD feed.
