The Weather Channel Launches Photography Contest With Toyota

The Weather Channel has teamed with Toyota to launch a promotional campaign inviting amateur and professional photographers to submit photographs that align with the network’s mantra of “It’s Amazing Out There.”

The contest aims to collect photographs that capture elements of nature or weather. There are three categories in the contest: Living World (nature), Adventure (travel/sports & recreation), and The Elements (weather).

Individuals can enter the contest by submitting photographs via weather.com/photocontest or facebook.com/theweatherchannel by Sunday, June 15. Users can then vote for their favorite photograph once each day through Sunday July 13.

The entries will ultimately be judged by Neil Katz, editor-in-chief of weather.com and vice president of content for The Weather Company, along with a panel including photographers David Mayhew, Steve Winter and Adam Ravetch. Winners will be announced Friday, August 15 on air on The Weather Channel as well as on weather.com.
