The Weather Channel will air two original programs to commemorate Earth Day April 22.
Silent Killer, set to debut Friday at 7 p.m. (EST/PST), focuses on the events of the summer of 1995 in Chicago, when more than 700 deaths were attributed to the heat. The show will reair Saturday, April 23 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
And Alaska Meltdown, premiering Friday at 7:30 p.m., looks at the effects of global warming on Alaska. Alaska Meltdown will reair Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
