Weather Gets Rapt

The Weather Channel Interactive will integrate technology from pricing and profitability software provider Rapt.

The technology -- pricing controls, analytic infrastructure and data-driven decision-support capabilities -- will support online sales operations for various TWC properties, including weather.com, forGetaway.com and global-climate-change site ONE°.

“Rapt solutions will strengthen our industry-recognized leading sales approach and are central to our efforts to improve the efficiency and precision of our revenue-management and business-planning operations,” said Joe Fiveash, executive vice president and general manager of TWCi.

Rapt's client base includes Apple, CNET Networks, Dow Jones, MSN, NBC Universal, Seagate, Tacoda and Yahoo!.
