Burbank, Calif. -- The WeB, now called the WB 100+ Station
Group, currently has commitments to add more than 750,000 cable homes -- including deals
with Adelphia Communications Corp., Century Communications Corp., Charter Communications
and MediaOne Group Inc. -- officials said last week.
WB 100+ general manager Russell Myerson said the network
will reach more than 5 million subscribers by September.
He added that his service -- a cable version of The WB
Television Network -- will extend its charter affiliate agreement through April 30, and
operators that commit by then will be able to share in the local gross ad revenue for the
service and be exempt from license fees.
