Cathy Weeden, currently vice president and general manager of Fox Sports Net
Arizona, was named Tuesday to the same positions at Sunshine Network.
She succeeds Jim Liberatore, who was named president of Speed Channel in
Weeden -- who will relocate to Sunshine's Orlando, Fla., headquarters in the
next few months -- is responsible for all aspects of the network's ongoing
operations, including programming, production, advertising sales, marketing and
promotions, affiliate relations, media relations and administration.
She returns to Sunshine after spending more than two years heading FSN
Weeden joined Sunshine's affiliate-relations department eight years ago.
After serving as the network's director of affiliate sales and marketing, she
was named assistant GM in 1996.
