Comedy Central said The Daily Show with Jon Stewart posted its highest weekly viewership ever for its "Indecision 2004" election coverage.
The network said The Daily Show averaged 1.9 total viewers two-plus, up 193% from year-ago numbers, and the week included the show’s Nos. 2 and 3 most-watched episodes ever.
The post-election show Nov. 3 was No. 2 in Daily Show history, with 2.2 million viewers. Election Night 2004: Prelude to a Recount Nov. 2 came in at No. 3 with 2.1 million viewers.
The No. 1-ranked Daily Show episode of all-time was the post-presidential-debate installment Sept. 30, which drew 2.4 million total viewers two-plus.
