An organizing committee has been tapped for this year's technologically
focused Western Show, which has already signed up 100 exhibitors, officials
said.

The California Cable & Telecommunications Association and Cable
Television Laboratories Inc. are already deep into planning 'BroadbandPlus --
The New Western Show' and its 'Turn on the Future' CableNET exhibit for the
gathering, slated for Dec. 3 through 6 in Anaheim, Calif.

As attendance to industry trade shows decreases, the CCTA has opted to focus
the Western Show on new technology, such as interactive television and
video-on-demand.

The show organizing committee includes Cox Communications Inc. chief
technology officer Christopher Bowick, Comcast Corp. senior vice president of
new-media development Steven Craddock, CableLabs president Richard Green,
AT&T Broadband CTO David Fellows and Time Warner Cable VP of consumer
technology and standards Doug Semon.
