Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) will begin accepting registrations for its 2015 Leadership Conference starting Thursday, Feb. 26. The conference will take place at the New York Marriott Marquis (pictured) on Sept. 28-29. Conference registration includes attendance at the WICT Touchstones Luncheon on Sept. 28. During the luncheon, WICT will recognize the Woman of the Year and Woman to Watch honorees.
The WICT Leadership Conference marks the beginning of the cable industry's Diversity Week, which also includes the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) conference and the annual fundraising dinner of the Walter Kaitz Foundation. All three groups will celebrate and promote the critical role diversity and inclusion plays in the cable telecommunications industry.
"The WICT Leadership Conference is the must-attend annual event for our members and their colleagues in cable media to strengthen their skills and build long-lasting connections," Christina Vergara, WICT's senior vice president of educational programs, said in a release. "Our industry recognizes the business and societal benefit of utilizing diverse voices, and we are proud to join our partner organizations once again for Diversity Week in New York."
