WICT: Tea and Mentoring in L.A.

The Southern California Chapter of Women in Cable & Telecommunications’ annual “Mentoring Tea” will be held Friday, featuring such media mentors as Bridget Baker, Dotty Ewing and Sean Riley.

The 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. event April 23 at the Beverly Hills Hotel kicks off the 2004 Formal Mentoring Program and new Executive TeleForum.

The tea is designed to provide members with access to senior industry executives in an environment that encourages candid conversation and personal interaction.

The format includes an introduction of the executives serving as mentors, three half-hour mentoring sessions in a roundtable format and a final Mimosa social hour for further networking.

This year’s mentors include: Baker, senior vice president of cable distribution at NBC Cable Networks; Toni Erickson Knight, founder and CEO of WorldLink Inc.; Ewing, senior VP of marketing and promotions at Playboy Entertainment Group; Debra Green, chief operating officer of G4 Media LLC; Mindy Herman, CEO of E! Networks; Dale Hopkins, senior VP of distribution and ad sales at G4; Jacki Kallen, boxing manager, author and motivational speaker; William Lee, CEO of The Soundtrack Channel; and Riley, senior VP of affiliate sales at Fox Cable Networks Group.
