Widow Extends Lifetime’s Movie Streak

Widow on the Hill became the fourth consecutive Lifetime Original Movie to draw more than 4 million viewers, Lifetime Television said Tuesday.

The film -- which starred Natasha Henstridge (Species, The Whole Ten Yards) as a seductive nurse accused of murdering her wealthy husband, James Brolin (The Reagans, Catch Me if You Can) -- earned a 3.9 Nielsen Media Research household rating and drew 4.2 million viewers two-plus when it debuted Monday, Lifetime said.

Widow on the Hill followed on the heels of Lifetime Original MoviesPlain Truth, Identity Theft and Dawn Anna, and the network said this marked the first time a cable network had posted four consecutive original movies with 4 million viewers apiece since Lifetime and TBS accomplished the feat in 2002.

The women’s network will see if the streak will continue with the debut of its next Lifetime Original Movie, More Sex and the Single Mom,starring Gail O’Grady and Grant Show, Monday, Feb. 7 at 9 p.m. (EST/PST).
