A Wilder Century for TCM

Turner Classic Movies will debut 90-minute documentary Billy Wilder Speaks Thursday, June 22 at 8 p.m. (EST).

The world-television-premiere airing of the film coincides with director, writer and producer Billy Wilder’s 100th birthday, and it was re-edited from a German television series that featured extensive conversations with Wilder at age 83 in 1988, which he agreed to be interviewed for under the condition that the material not be used until after his death.

TCM will also air Wilder films Double Indemnity (1944), The Lost Weekend (1945), Sabrina (1954), A Foreign Affair (1948), Sunset Boulevard (1950) and The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (1970) following Billy Wilder Speaks.
