Williams to Host MSNBC Medical Special

MSNBC anchor Brian Williams will host a two-hour live event June 23 during
which elite doctors will explain and illustrate the latest advances in medical
science and its practice.

Summit for a Cure premieres from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. that night before an
audience of medical professionals at the Cleveland Play House and The Cleveland

The show -- repeating from midnight to 2 a.m. June 24 -- will focus on the
most recent breakthroughs in heart disease and cancer, as well as afflictions of
aging like Parkinson's disease.

Leaders in the fields of cardiology, oncology, genetics, medical ethics and
epidemiology will be on hand.

The show will also feature a host of celebrity guests -- including Fran
Drescher, Christopher Reeve and Bob Dole -- appearing via satellite to discuss
their medical/health situations.
