TheGolfChannel.comsigned a streaming-media deal with Williams Communications Group Inc., while
Microsoft Corp. said MSNBC.com is using the
software maker's new 'Corona' Windows Media streaming platform.
TheGolfChannel.com will use Williams as a preferred provider for audio and
video content. The site carries a number of 30-minute and 60-minute programs,
including Golf Central, Academy Live and Golf Talk
Microsoft said MSNBC.com has delivered more than 7 million streams worldwide
over the past two months using the new Corona software. The company said Corona
doubles the scalability of the Windows 2000 server.
MSNBC is co-owned by Microsoft and NBC.
