Wilson, Poot Lead Showtime Pilot 'Roadies'

Luke Wilson and Imogen Poot were cast in the lead roles for Showtime’s one-hour comedy pilot Roadies.

The project follows the day-to-day life of a crew managing, setting up a successful rock tour.

Wilson (Old School, The Royal Tenebaums) portrays road-weary, sleep-deprived tour manager Bill, who is five years sober. Poot (The Look of Love) plays Kelly Ann, a first-rate tech, who has questionable people skills as she tries to make her mark on the world.

Also in the ensemble cast:  Academy Award nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider) is the outspoken and passionate sound mixer “Donna Mancini,” who every day leads her road family in their favorite ritual, “The Song of the Day.” Rafe Spall (One Day) is on board as Reg Whitehead, a successful British financial advisor sent by management to oversee the crew's budget, though he knows less than zero about the music business. Peter Cambor  (NCIS: Los Angeles) is Milo, an offbeat American anglophile guitar tech, not big on personal hygiene, who revels in his road-worthy, skuzzy charm.

Roadies is produced by Bad Robot Productions, Vinyl Films and Dooley & Company Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television.

The shooting schedule was not revealed.
