BRIDGEWATER, N.J. -Fiber-to-the-home overbuilder WINfirst
said it will deploy DSET Corp.'s
gateways to provision voice, video and data services.
WINfirst said it will use DSET's "ezLocal" ordering gateway to interconnect with SBC Communications Inc. and Pacific Bell and to automate the migration of customers to the overbuilder's network.
WINfirst has received regulatory approval to build networks in Sacramento, Calif.; San Diego; Austin, Texas; Houston; and San Antonio, as well as temporary permit pending approval for Portland, Ore. The company is also seeking the green light in Los Angeles, Oakland, Calif., San Francisco, Phoenix and the entire state of Nevada.
