Wisdom Television plans to bow a new series, Today's Environment, as
part of its Earth Day programming marathon April 22.
Airing at 6 p.m., Today's Environment is a magazine show hosted by
actor Ed Begley Jr. that will address topical news, technology and other issues
impacting the environment.
Some of the areas the show will explore include forest preservation;
energy-efficient home construction; radiation as a source of environmental
improvement; hotel conservation programs; and means to harness the sun's
Wisdom, the network dedicated to life improvement, has also scheduled Rare
Earth - The e Report, Meditations, People Count,
Visionaries and Quiet Places among the shows comprising its Earth
Day programming stunt.
'Earth Day has become an increasingly important day of celebration. If we do
not begin to honor our planet in an immediate and meaningful way, we will no
longer have a home to call our home. Americans understand this,' vice president
of programming Sheila Shayon said in a prepared statement.
