Wise Joins Comcast's Philly Interconnect

Comcast Cable Communications Inc. has named Tom Wise general sales manager of
Comcast MarketLink Philadelphia, the company announced Monday.

In this newly created position, Wise -- who had been working with CBS
owned-and-operated station KYW-TW -- is responsible for managing regional and
national sales efforts for the Comcast's interconnect in its home market.

Wise has spent the past 10 years with KYW-TV, most recently as national sales
manager.

'I'm delighted to have Tom as part of our leadership team,' Comcast
MarketLink Philadelphia vice president and general manager Jim Gallagher said in
a prepared statement.

'Comcast is one of the best-clustered cable operators in the country, which
we believe offers tremendous advertising-sales opportunities in a highly
competitive marketplace,' he added. 'Tom's extensive sales-management experience
and creativity undoubtedly will help to lead our advertising-sales efforts in
Philadelphia.'

Wise's appointment came as Comcast continues to look for a successor to Roger
Sverdlik as its senior vice president of ad sales. Sverdlik left the position
after two years last month. Comcast has not yet chosen a permanent replacement
for Sverdlik, but it has named group vice president Steve Feingold its acting
ad-sales boss.

Sverdlik had been a champion of Comcast's expansion in interconnects, fueled
in particular by the strong sales gains at the Philadelphia interconnect. The
MSO currently operates branded interconnects in 16 markets, up from 10 last
January.
