Ana Marie Cox will leave her PC behind for an MTV News microphone.
MTV: Music Television said Thursday that Cox, editor of political-news and gossip Web site Wonkette (www.wonkette.com), will provide on-air and online coverage of the Democratic National Convention for MTV’s “Choose or Lose 2004” campaign on MTV and MTV.com (www.mtv.com).
“Ana Marie’s combination of humor, commentary and savvy political insight has become a must-read for political junkies,” MTV News vice president Ocean MacAdams said in a prepared statement.
“I can’t imagine a better place for her than MTV News and Choose or Lose,” MacAdams added. “Her coverage of the DNC will help us to reach our goal of 20 million 18- to 30-year-old voters in November.”
