Comcast Corp. had agreed to carry urban ministry and gospel channel The Word
'During a time when American satellite-TV and cable broadcasters are rife
with institutional racism, I am pleased to announce that discussions with
Comcast . have resulted in Comcast setting the tone for corporate responsibility
in the cable industry by agreeing to carry The Word Network and provide more
positive programming for African Americans,' the Rev. Horace Sheffield, a NAN
