WOW Completes Purchase of ANM Systems

Cable customers in southeastern Michigan, Ohio and the Chicago market will
soon have a new cable company, as WideOpenWest LLC completed its acquisition of
Ameritech New Media systems there late Friday.

The competitive provider has also received transfer authority from all 114
communities currently served by the telco affiliate, which is exiting the cable
business.

WOW also serves customers in Denver and executives, in a prepared statement,
said they will expand offerings currently enjoyed by ANM customers to include
more cable-television channels, high-speed Internet service and broadband-voice
services.

The buyout was funded by Oak Hill Capital Partners LP and ABRY Partners Inc.,
as well as a bank group led by General Electric Co.'s GE Capital with the Bank
of Montreal and Société Géneralé.
