WSNet is offering small cable operators the ability to carry 180 digital
channels through its new 'WSNet DigitalFlex' service.
The service is designed for cable operators with 450 megahertz or less of
spectrum, and it provides the ability to offer analog service and 180 digital
channels within existing bandwidth, WSNet said.
The service is compatible with Motorola Broadband Communications Sector 'DSR'
and 'DCT' set-tops and most major billing vendors, the company said.
'DigitalFlex helps small operators to prevent further loss of customers by
going digital with minimal headend upgrade costs,' chief operating officer
Stuart Lefkowitz said in a prepared statement.
The company said small operators could also offer pay-per-view and
premium-multiplex services to subscribers.
