Sunday’s World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. The Great American Bash pay-per-view event will be seen free-of-charge at 37 United Service Organization locations, the programmer said Thursday.
The Great American Bash will be broadcast live from the Norfolk (Va.) Scope Arena at 8 p.m. (EST).
WWE will host free Great American Bash events at 37 USOs, and military personnel and veterans who are unable to attend will be reimbursed the retail price of $34.95 upon receipt of a copy of their cable- or satellite-television bill and proof of their military service.
“WWE is proud to offer our nation's armed forces the opportunity to receive SmackDown!'s The Great American Bash PPV June 27 absolutely free as a thank you to the brave men and women who serve our country,” vice president of marketing Dan Levi said in a prepared statement.
“WWE also wants to thank our cable and satellite affiliate partners for working with WWE and the USOs to arrange distribution of the Great American Bash free-of-charge to USO facilities,” he added.
