XM Honors Black Music Month


XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. said Tuesday that it would host a month-long
celebration of Black Music Month across a number of genres and channels on its
national audio service throughout June.

Among the highlights are retrospectives on legendary musicians Quincy Jones
and Wynton Marsalis, as well as profiles of rap musicians Usher and Naughty by
Nature. Featured genres range from gospel to hip-hop.

XM vice president of programming Steve Harris spearheaded the Black Music
Month initiative.

African-American-owned Radio One Inc. provides content to XM's urban-music
channels, including Soul Street, The Flow, Spirit, The Groove, The Rhyme, RAW
and Real Jazz.
