XO Launches New Service Suite

XO Communications Inc. is working through Chapter 11 bankruptcy, but that's
no reason to stop promoting its product line.

The Reston, Va.-based network operator is introducing a suite of flexible
service packages for business customers. This includes several promotional
offers, such as flexible short-term agreements, some termination charges waived
and up to six months of free service for certain broadband voice, data,
virtual-private-networking and fiber-optic-connection packages.

The promotion is aimed at assuring customers that despite the recent
implosion of carrier rival WorldCom Inc. and other troubles in the
telecommunications sector, XO is still open for business. Although the company
filed for Chapter 11 protection last month, it has maintained its network and
operations.

Given the fact that some prospective customers may be wary of signing up with
a telecommunications provider going through reorganization, XO has added a
24-hour hotline to provide information on services.

'In today's turbulent telecommunications landscape, XO Communications wants
our existing and prospective customers to know that we stand solidly behind our
commitment to provide a full range of products and services designed to serve
our customers' needs,' president and CEO Nate Davis said.
