AVOD platform Xumo has promoted Fern Feistel to senior VP of marketing and content operations.
It’s the marketing executive's second promotion since joining the Irvine, Calif.-based free-to-consumer streaming startup in 2015. Feistel will continue to lead Xumo’s marketing efforts, but will now also oversee the company’s content operations team.
“She’s incredibly well poised to take on these critical new responsibilities to further enhance our highest consumer experience standards from a viewer’s discovery of our service, to his/her first and every engagement with Xumo,” said Colin Petrie-Norris, CEO at Xumo, in a statement.
In February, it was also reported that Sinclair Broadcast Group was among a number of media companies looking at the AVOD platform for possible acquisition. At that time, Xumo announced that its platform is reaching around 5.5 million active users a month, a 60% uptick in eight months.
