Gemstar-TV Guide International announced a license agreement with Yahoo!.
Under terms of the pact, interactive program guides delivered by Yahoo! via the Internet or on PCs -- including through the Yahoo! Go TV service -- will incorporate Gemstar-TV Guide technology.
The deal also covers various branding and promotional opportunities for TV Guide across the Yahoo! network and a patent cross-license between both parties.
“Through this relationship, our TV Guide brand will now reach even more consumers via the estimated 500 million users of Yahoo!-branded services,” Gemstar-TV Guide CEO Rich Battista said in a prepared statement.
