YES Network Monday announced that Mike Fratello will rejoin play-by-play man Marv Albert as an analyst during the network’s telecasts of New Jersey Nets games this season.
Fratello, jokingly dubbed “The Czar of the Telestrator” by his longtime partner, won 667 games during 17 seasons as head coach for a number of NBA teams. He and Albert previously worked together as a broadcast team on both NBC and TNT.
“The Nets have been very active during the off-season, with their draft selections and other acquisitions, so this coming season should be very interesting,” Fratello said in a statement. “They will have an entirely different look than they had for last year’s season-opener, and it should make for some exciting ball. Of course, I am extremely overwhelmed with excitement and enthusiasm about spending even more time behind the mic with The Marvelous One, Marv Albert.”
