Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network will launch broadband-video application YES Vision June 23, the network said Monday.
YES Vision will use Wavexpress Inc.’s “WX” technology to provide exclusive programming and game-related content online in full-screen, TV-quality mode.
Broadband users can activate YES Vision by logging onto the network’s Web site (www.yesnetwork.com), after which they will receive programming automatically.
“We are excited to expand our Internet capabilities with the addition of our own dedicated video channel," YES director of Internet operations Fred Harner said in a prepared statement. "YES Vision is a uniquely powerful platform that will allow us to entertain our online sports fans with a high energy, video-driven experience.”
YES’ schedule includes139 New York Yankees Major League Baseball games, 75 New Jersey Nets National Basketball Association games, other professional and collegiate sports teams and classic sports footage, as well as original biography, interview and magazine programs.
