YES Touts Out-of-Home Ratings


A study commissioned by Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network indicated that the regional sports service would ring up double-digit increases across key demographic groups if out-of-home viewing were entered into the ratings equation.

Findings from a Nielsen Media Research study, gathered from more than 1,100 phone interviews in September and October, showed that if people watching in out-of-home locations were factored in, YES’ ratings among men 18-49 and 25-54 would improve 14.5% and 14.1% to a 3.7 and 3.8, respectively, in the New York DMA.
