Zeke And Luther Skate To Second Season On Disney XD

Disney XD has ordered a second season of skateboarding series Zeke and Luther.

Production on the series, centering on the friendship of a pair of 15-year-olds buddies determined to become the world's best skateboarders, will resume in the fall.
From Turtle Rock Productions, the series, which debuted on Disney XD in the U.S. in June, is the service's top show among kids 6 to 14 and boys 6 to14.
After debuting in the States, the show rolled out on Disney XD in Latin America in July.

It's scheduled to premiere soon on Disney XD channels in France, Italy, the UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, Scandinavia and Japan.

Zeke and Luther is an absolutely iconic series for Disney XD -- a comic video postcard that perfectly captures the friendship and fraternity that embodies the idyllic beach skateboard culture, said Gary Marsh, president, entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide, in a statement.

The single-camera comedy comes from creators and executive producers Matt Dearborn and Tom Burkhard, the team behind the Emmy Award-nominated and BAFTA-winning Disney Channel series, Even Stevens. The program stars Hutch Dano as Zeke, Adam Hicks as Luther, Daniel Curtis Lee as Kojo and Ryan Newman as Ginger.
